ABOUT THIS COURSE

This course is intended for experienced electricians who have never gained formal qualifications in inspection and testing or who may wish to update and reaffirm their skills.

It is  a direct replacement  for the old combined City & Guilds 2394/2395 qualification.

Successful attainment of this qualification will give delegates the knowledge and practical skills required to inspect, test and complete the required certificates on new electrical installations before putting them into service, as well as carry out condition reporting of existing installations.

The course covers the inspection and testing techniques prescribed in IET Guidance Note 3, along with the completion of associated certification and reports.

QUALIFICATION GAINED

Successful completion leads to:

• Level 3 Award in Inspection and Testing (City & Guilds 2391-52)

This new qualification only requires one online multiple choice exam and one practical assessment session, both of which are completed during the training course at Seta

REQUIREMENTS

It is highly recommended that candidates are fully conversant with the latest version of BS7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and hold the current qualification prior to attending this course. Candidates are expected to have experience of electrical installation work either within the electrical contracting industry or an allied trade.
