Offering both apprenticeships and accredited commercial training, we predominantly serve the North East’s engineering, manufacturing, process and related sectors. We help individuals gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence, required to fulfil their potential. Due to a rapid increase in learner numbers we are recruiting to a number of positions.

Training Instructor (Engineering Maintenance)     Salary to £35k

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Engineering Maintenance training instructor, deliver training to engineering apprentices and commercial course delegates. The successful applicant is likely to be a timeserved maintenance engineer, with several years of industry experience. We would like to recruit someone with electrical, mechanical, and fluid power experience, but we are also happy to receive applications from individuals covering single disciplines. Ideally they will also have recent experience in delivering engineering apprenticeship training and assessment, and hold a teaching qualification at level 4 or higher.

Seta Kickstart Work Experience Placement Business Development Administrator (Apprenticeships)

Are you currently aged 16 – 24, claiming Universal Credit and looking to start a career in Business Administration, but need support or mentoring to help you get started. Seta have 3x 6 month Kickstart opportunity where they will help you gain the necessary soft skills and business knowledge that will take you into the start of a career in Business Administration. You will work 25 hours a week and be paid the national minimum wage for your age.

Responsibilities:

To assist with apprentice recruitment through administrative support for the Business Development and other teams including the following:

  • Support reception functions when required including switchboard
  • Maintain up to date databases, appointment calendars and schedule meetings and appointments
  • Send regular updates via e-mail, social media and digital marketing software packages
  • Arrange assessment sessions for prospective candidates including invitations, responses and assessment support
  • Liaise with companies regarding apprentices including preparing initial job descriptions, advertising roles and arranging interviews and follow up
  • Upload and format pre agreed content on the Seta website
  • Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, collating, etc.
  • Other duties as required from time to time

As a Kickstart they must be willing to gain knowledge and take instruction with regards to processes within the company.

Requirements:

The role is 25 hours a week to be discussed. Hours to take place within Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm and Friday 8am – 1pm

Prospects

It is accepted that the placement will potentially lead to a Business Administration Apprenticeship role within a company that Seta supports.
