ABOUT THIS COURSE
This course is aimed at practicing electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some up-date training before going on to achieve the C&G2394/5 (City and Guilds level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations).
It is highly recommended that the candidate is fully conversant with BS7671 (17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations) prior to attending this course, and ideally have practical experience of electrical installations.

- Sequence of tests
- Testing of protective conductors
- Testing of ring final circuits
- Insulation resistance testing
- Polarity testing
- Earth fault loop impedance testing
- Residual current device testing
- Measurement of prospective fault current
- Verification of voltage drop
- Paperwork-Certification: Completion of Electrical Installation certificates/Completion of Schedule of Inspections/Completion of Electrical Tests/Knowledge of minor works certification
Candidates will be required to complete the following assessments:
- One 2 hr practical. To assess the ability to inspect, select and use the correct test equipment and certificate a single phase domestic installation. (C&G2392-102)
- One 1hour 40 mins GOLA on-line multiple choice test. To cover the inspection process and testing, consisting of 50 questions. (C&G2392-101)
