Company Overview:

Founded in 1923, this company, is a leading producer of forged and cast rolls for the worldwide steel and metal industries, as well as ingot and open die forged products for the oil and gas, aluminum, and plastic extrusion industries. The Corporation, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ampco-Pittsburgh Corporation, operates manufacturing facilities in the United States, United Kingdom, Sweden, Slovenia, and China. Sales offices are located in North and South America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.  Corporate headquarters is located in Carnegie, Pennsylvania. 

Job Overview:

  • Provide repair service in the event of equipment and machinery breakdown.
  • Regularly check pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities.
  • Undertake any necessary welding and repair work.
  • Initiaite an ongoing preventative maintenance programme, using suitable software.
  • Compile and maintain preventative maintenance programme.
  • Carry out mechanical breakdown/repairs
  • Installation of electrical equipment i.e. sockets, lights etc.
  • Initiate preventative maintenance programmes, using suitable software.
  • Compile data and maintain preventative maintenance programme.
  • Support equipment commissioning.
  • Support and assist with installation projects.
  • Achieve and improve company targets on equipment availability and utilisation.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the Company’s Health & Safety management document are adhered to and be aware of and understand the Company’s Health & Safety regulations.
  • Do not compromise the health or safety of yourself or others.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the Company’s environmental management document are adhered to and you are aware of and understand the Company’s environmental regulations.

Working hours:

Monday to Thursday - 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and Friday 8:00 AM - 1 PM

Salary:

The company offers a competitive salary for its apprentices.
