This gives us access to a manufacturing team of over 220 highly skilled personnel allowing us to respond easily to small and large scale requirements, as well as to Urgent Operational Requirements.
Job Role
The role is 37 hours. Monday – Thursday 07.30 – 15:30 Friday 07.30 – 13.00 and duties will include:
- Drawing / 3D Model Creation: Create 3D models and drawings in accordance with PEL standards, in-line with the specifications & timescales issued.
- Design: Understand and able apply the engineering processes / guidelines used to detail engineer PEL products (Mechanical / Hydraulic / Electrical / Software).
- Checking: Carry out checking of your own, and others, work to ensure it meets the requirements prior to release for procurement and manufacture.
- Health & Safety: Ensure company health & safety requirements are followed and ensure work areas remain safe & tidy.
- Other: Assist with other reasonable business requirements when needed and / or requested.
- Must be able to work alone or as part of a team
- Complete all necessary college work on time and to the correct standard
- Complete the requirements of the apprenticeship which requires in house company training
- Adopt a continuous improvement attitude in developing work throughout
- Take an active role in adhering to quality control and quality standards
Applicants must have GCSE Grade 4 or above in English, maths and science.
Salary
The successful applicants will start in September on a salary of £7.55 per hour with increments based on successful progression.
