The Company
This a privately owned company. They engaged in the Design, Manufacture, Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of Electrical and Process Systems in Power, Water, Telecoms, Hospital, Chemical, Oil, Pharmaceutical and Construction Industries. This company was founded in 1991 and has enjoyed consistent growth in the years since it was formed, completing over 5000 projects
Role Summary
Working under the direction and guidance of an experienced supervisor you will be supported in all areas of the job role whilst working towards a Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship. During this time, you will achieve the skills and experience to become a qualified Electrical Fitter.
You will develop an understanding of the industry including health and safety, use of hand tools as well as demonstrating your practical skills in various elements.
The role is 37 hours. Monday – Thursday 07.00 – 17:00 Friday 08.00 – 13.00 (when required). Your day to day responsibilities include:
- Completing paperwork to the satisfaction of your supervisor
- Use of hand and power tools with due care and attention
- Maintaining a high level of good housekeeping in all areas
- Working as part of a team
- Build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, managers
- Follow Health & Safety policy and procedures including the wearing of personal protective equipment when necessary
- Take part in the apprentice programme and complete any work issued within a reasonable timeframe and be capable of working independently in the final year of the apprenticeship programme.
Skills required for this Role
- Applicants must have GCSE C or above in English, maths a science and IT. (Minimum 4 GCSE at level 4/C and above)
- Have a can-do attitude
- Be a confidant communicator and able to deal with problems
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to be conscientious and show attention to detail
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability work to deadlines

Salary
The successful applicants will start Summer 2025 on a salary of £7.55 per hour with increments yearly based on successful progression.
