Dan's Story

Huge congratulations to Dan, one of our first year apprentices at Union Electric Steel for being awarded group 1 'apprentice of the year' in the machining category, as voted for by tutors Callum and Ryan, pictured here with Managing Director Will Garrett

Dan has re-joined his employer after 8 months with Seta, where he has learned the basics in milling and turning, and is now applying these skills to the machines in the iconic Union Electric Steel building.

Following the foundation training, apprentices are selected for consistently demonstrating excellent attitude and work ethic, commitment to the programme and outstanding quality of work.

Dan returned to his employer 2 weeks ago, and supervisor Peter reported he is delighted with his performance so far, they say he is a quick learner and has naturally taken to the various tasks and machines he will be operating.

Congratulations Dan, keep working hard and smashing your goals!
