Role: Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, Shipping and Warehouse Support Administration

Location: Washington, Tyne and Wear

Salary: Minimum £3.70 per hour. Immediate start

Duties:

  • Process Commercial Invoices & Packing lists
  • Ensure the Company retains Export Evidence (for 7 years) in a filing and logging system
  • Ensure the Company retains Import Evidence (for 7 years) in a filing and logging system
  • Ensure the company is prepared for HMRC audits
  • Support shipping and Warehouse staff on goods out regarding all documents
  • Training on an ERP computer system
  • Communicate with customers and work with sales people to aide good service
  • General filing of all documents
  • Use Export procedures, control goods, check documents prior to shipment
  • Use Import procedures, control goods, check documents prior to and receiving deliveries
  • Complete external Documents (Export) through Chambers of Commerce and Embassy’s; EUR1 Form, ATR document, Certificate of Origin (COO)

Role: Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, Welding and Fabrication x 4

Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear

Salary: Minimum £3.70 per hour

Duties:

  • To work in steel assembly on the manufacturing of crane structures.
  • Fabrication crane parts to tight tolerances.
  • Welding to international standards.
  • When necessary assist in other areas for example burning and plate preparation area.

Role: Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, Multi-skilled Technician x 3

Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear

Duties:

  • To assist and at times manufacture various types of cranes and lifting equipment.
  • Installation of electrical mechanical and hydraulic components including pre-assembly and final connections. Build cranes from start to finish and hand over to the final testing department.

Role: Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship, Electrical

Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear

Salary: Minimum £3.70 per hour. September start

Duties:

  • Reading, interprets, and executes drawings, schematics, blueprints, and electrical code specifications to see layout of electrical equipment installations
  • Tests electrical and equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance
  • Installs, repairs, or replaces AC/DC motors and drives, transformers, motors, starters, relays, and hydraulic
  • Installs repairs, or replaces electrical wiring, switch boxes, conduits, lighting, PLC’s and alternative electrical parts
  • Installs, repairs, or replaces generators and industrial storage batteries
  • Do preventive maintenance and testing of electrical systems (including power distribution equipment)
  • Installs electrical circuits, as well as panels, conduit, protecting devices, switches, and equipment.
  • Works on electrical failures and replaces components wherever production time is often affected
  • Corrects connections and wiring on equipment controls wherever incorrect applications may cause harm and dangerous conditions
  • Conducts preventive and maintenance programs
  • May install, maintain, and calibrate industrial equipment and connected devices
  • Complies with standards and procedures of industry, Safety Manual, and abide by safety rules.

Role: Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship, Fabrication and Stores

Location: Leechmere East Industrial Estate, Sunderland, Tyne and Wear

Duties:

  • Making of wooden boxes (joinery skills)
  • Packing of boxes

Role: Warehousing Intermediate Apprenticeship

Location: Gateshead, NE11 0ZJ

Salary: £3.70 an hour.

Duties:

  • Inspection of goods received for quality, damage and/or validation against the company’s official purchase order.
  • Ensure effective rotation of stock holdings to avoid “ageing” in shelf life.
  • Undertake cycle checks regularly to validate accuracy of stock records, advising Office Administration for discrepancies, out-of-stock lines and those below authorised minimum stocking levels.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards in the warehouse, with storage of goods aided by mechanical handling equipment (fork lift truck, hydraulic lift or any such device provided by the company) and ensure that warehouse is regularly swept and kept tidy.
  • Prepare delivery schedules, whenever necessary and pack/assemble products against customer orders due for dispatch on that “run” - to economise on transport costs.
  • Accurately complete Goods Received and Goods Dispatched documentation in a timely manner ensuring immediate data entry to the computer system.
  • Organising external carriers for timely dispatch of goods.
  • Thoroughly check/inspect goods “Return” for verification of stated causes and accurately complete relevant paper-work required by Office Administration.  All such “Returns” should be immediately quarantined in the warehouse, pending decision/direction by the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Provide assistance to sales and administrative colleagues by accepting telephone orders and communicating details for the sales order processing system.
  • Promote product sales to customers calling at the Trade Sales counter and assist in distributing technical literature for enquiries when Sales Engineers are not available.
  • Maintain familiarity with operation of the computer system with “hands-on” approach.
  • Ensure good inter-personal relationships with all personnel at the Branch and at other locations of the company to foster corporate teamwork.
  • Actively participate in Branch meetings to discuss and exchange views and ideas to improve performance, efficiency or productivity and other matters appertaining to the larger group picture.

Role: CAD Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3)

Location: Darlington, DL3 7EE

Salary: £3.70 per hour

Duties:

  • Ensure completion of all drawing types in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that drawings issued of all types are technically correct and of the required quality.
  • Complete all drawings in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Offer services as 3rd party inter discipline check.
  • Employ self-checking of drawings.
  • Approval of drawings where procedure allows.
  • Assistance to Engineering Manager with the implementation of new ideas for development in working procedures as directed.
  • Working with project teams to assist vessel mobilisation’s including compiling as build drawings and supporting at operational work sites as required.
  • Provide support to all internal departments as required with draughting services.
  • Produce all drawing types as required such as – Structural Fabrications, Machining Details, Operational Storyboards, Field/Route Detailed Engineering and Layouts, Lift Studies, etc.
  • Actively promote, utilize and conform with the Internal Work Request process to ensure a detailed audit trail exists associated with the tasks worked on.
